Humanitarian Activities That SkyWorld Group Accompanied In Carrying Out
SkyWorld Group actively participates in charitable activities, demonstrating the corporate responsibility and desire to bring positive values to the community. These humanitarian activities not only create economic value but also contribute to the sustainable development of society.
“With the motto of city transformation, we aim to change and enhance the quality of life for disadvantaged individuals in society. Whether large or small in scale, SkyWorld hopes that our campaigns will inspire everyone to contribute and support for a more progressive and civilized society.” – Datuk Seri Ng Thien Phing
With great inspiration drawn from the extensive charitable work Datuk Seri Ng Thien Phing has undertaken over the years, we built upon that notion to establish SkyWorld Cares in 2016. The primary goal of this organization is to enhance the living experience of the surrounding community by promoting education, fostering healthy lifestyles, and concurrently improving overall infrastructure according to planned strategies, providing financial support for those in need.
Through this, SkyWorld aims not only to focus on the larger community but also to support in improving the living standards of the underprivileged in society. This is a place where anyone can be informed about what is happening in their community and provided with reliable channels to easily contribute and support.
Throughout nearly 8 years of operation, SkyWorld Cares has actively participated in and successfully executed numerous community-oriented projects, including prominent humanitarian activities such as:
- Pioneering support for charitable projects endorsed by the King and Queen of Malaysia, SkyWorld joined efforts to assist victims severely affected by floods in Raub-Temerloh through the YASA Fund. This was one of the largest floods in Malaysian history, causing extensive damage to properties in Raub and Temerloh, leaving many victims facing unforeseen challenges. SkyWorld Cares provided USD 14,800 in cash aid and donated new household items such as beds, mattresses, kitchen cabinets, dining tables, chairs, and other essentials to the flood victims.
- In 2015, SkyWorld supported Mary Orphanage by helping raise funds through selling handmade candies crafted by the children themselves, raising USD 213. Continuing its goodwill gesture in 2016, SkyWorld initiated a charity fundraising campaign for children at Rumah Charis during the Christmas season. Children at the orphanage meticulously decorated these sweet treats, which were displayed at Gallery Bukit Jalil by SkyWorld. Visitors were encouraged to take home their favorite candies and leave a donation for the children. Thanks to the love and generosity of visitors, SkyWorld successfully brought these sweet delights to the general public, raising over USD 1,000 within 3 weeks. Additionally, SkyWorld also provided food supplies and essential medical equipment to the Rumah Charis orphanage.
- On February 24, 2017, as part of its continued community-driven mission, SkyWorld presented 5 Modenas motorcycles as lucky gifts at the Federal Territory Day celebration. With a total value of USD 4,300, these motorcycles were donated to the Majlis Kenduri Rakyat program. Mr. En Zaifi Mohammad, the CEO of SkyWorld, personally presented these gifts to the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Ministry of Federal Territories.
- SkyWorld advocates for creating a comprehensive work environment, believing in gender equality and providing the best working conditions for both men and women. On March 11, 2017, SkyWorld sponsored the largest Women’s Cycling Convoy in Malaysia in celebration of International Women’s Day. The event set a new record in Malaysia with nearly 11,500 women of all ages and ethnicities participating. Speaking about the event, Datuk Ng Thien Phing shared: “We believe in gender equality, and it is one of the key elements in building a good community and enhancing the quality of social life. We are proud to be part of the Women’s Cycling Convoy event in 2017 at Dataran Putrajaya.”
- On November 27, 2019, SkyWorld participated in The Edge Rat Race charity run, contributing to the implementation of activities and support programs for the underprivileged and disabled regardless of race, religion, or gender. This marked SkyWorld’s third participation in this humanitarian activity.
- In July and August 2021, SkyWorld transformed its Setapak Real Estate Gallery into a Vaccination Center (PPV – Pusat Pemberian Vaksin) for 2000 individuals to boost the country’s vaccination rate. Vaccine recipients included company employees, business partners, and community members who completed their vaccinations in a swift and safe environment.
Known as a real estate developer dedicated to enhancing community living standards, SkyWorld also pays special attention to the environment and the living surroundings of the SkyArena project in Setapak. The company agreed to sponsor USD 10,672 for the repair project of Marian Convent’s fence to enhance security, reduce noise, and minimize dust within the school premises. The design and construction took approximately 2 months to complete, from December 2016 to January 2017, improving the environmental conditions and safety for teaching and learning activities of students and staff at the school.
Above are the prominent community activities that the real estate developer SkyWorld has undertaken since its inception. With unwavering belief and enthusiasm, this developer has, is, and will continue to succeed not only with real estate projects but also with philanthropic campaigns of various scales. SkyWorld Cares continues its inspiring journey, participating in humanitarian activities to provide support and share with the community.
