On 18 September 2018, YB Tuan Haji Khalid Bin Abd. Samad, Minister of Territories has paid a courtesy visit to SkyArena Sports Complex at Setapak. The Minister was accompanied by YB Tuan Nik Nazmi Bin Nik Ahmad, MP of Setiawangsa, YBhg Datuk Seri Adnan Bin Haji Md Ikshan, Chief Secretary of Territories, YBhg Datuk Sr. Haji Mohd Najib Bin Haji Mohd, Executive Director (Project Management) and Representatives from KWP and DBKL. The site visit was initiated and led by SkyWorld’s Founder & Group Managing Director, Datuk Ng Thien Phing together with its Chief Operation Officer, Mr Lee Chee Seng. According to Datuk Ng, SkyArena Sports Complex is poised to be the city’s largest, multi-level and multi-function sports complex. This first-of-its-kind sports complex houses 20 types of facilities such as indoor rock climbing, Olympic-sized swimming pool, diving pool, badminton courts, football field with running track, gym and fitness centre, squash courts, hostel and etc.
