On 29 September 2023, SkyWorld Development Berhad (“SkyWorld” or the “Company”) an urban property developer principally involved in investment holding, provision of management services to its subsidiaries and property development is pleased to announce that it has successfully concluded its 2023 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”), which was held at SkyWorld Gallery @Setapak earlier today.

The audited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 March 2023 together with the Reports of the Directors and Auditors were presented for deliberation and duly received by the Company’s shareholders. All ten (10) ordinary resolutions and one (1) special resolution set out in the Notice of AGM dated 28 July 2023 were duly passed by way of poll.

“For the first quarter of the financial year 2024, SkyWorld has announced positive results with profit after tax attributable to owners of the Company reported at RM42.0 million. As of 30 June 2023, the Company has unbilled sales of RM951.9 million which will be progressively recognised in the upcoming years. Moreover, earlier this month on 7 September 2023, SkyWorld had also made its first foray overseas by acquiring approximately 1.3 acres of land in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. With this acquisition, SkyWorld proposes to implement a project comprising a 24-storey residential apartment building. This investment is expected to contribute positively to the Company. We are indeed excited at our future prospects,” he added.
