Curvo Residences Bags Residential High-Rise Architecture Award
SkyWorld came out victorious after its Curvo Residences at SkyArena in Setapak bagged an award for the Residential High Rise Architecture category at the Asia Pacific Property Awards (APPA) 2023.
“This award has given us a much-needed boost and encouragement to continue doing what we do best as a city developer. As we strive to create innovative products for better living, I would like to acknowledge the teams whose hard work and commitment have been crucial in making this happen,” says Lee Chee Seng, Chief Executive Officer of SkyWorld Development Berhad.
Curvo Residences, the final residential phase of SkyArena, sits on 4.43 acres of prime leasehold land and commands a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM575.4 million. “Curvo Residences is the final residential phase of SkyArena and embodies the best of city living surrounded by an abundance of greenery, ready to elevate lifestyles and nurture families,” shares Lee. “The development incorporates the Japanese philosophy of ‘Wabi-Sabi’ into the building’s designs and finishings, relying on the use of materials in its raw and natural form while blending a unique sense of comfort and simplicity into its overall concept. Each aspect, no matter how finite, was meticulously crafted to bring a sense of living within nature amid the urban backdrop of Kuala Lumpur city. We have always envisioned Curvo Residences to embody the very meaning of sustainable living, bolstered and emboldened by seamless natural elements to promote a perfect balance between the hectic day-to-day habits of city life and nature-inspired tranquillity.”
The ‘urban living in nature’ project impressively offers four levels (7, 29, 30 & 42A) of luxury leisure facilities for residents including a games room, steam room, library nook, sunken cove, multipurpose hall, reflexology path, jacuzzi, sun deck, infinity lap pool, cabana, kid’s pool, urban farm, viewing pavilion, singing room, meditation cove, stretch fit deck, panoramic loft, co-working oasis, sky golfers’ arena, sky gym, private dining space, moonlight terrace and more.
The development is also connected via several major highways including the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) as well as the Jalan Genting Klang Highway. SkyArena itself boasts an impressive estimated GDV of RM2.3 billion and will be built over four phases (three residential and one commercial) across 28 acres of leasehold land. Phase 1, dubbed Ascenda Residences was completed and handed over to purchasers in 2017 while phase 2, Bennington Residences, was completed and handed over in 2019.
“We see Curvo Residences’ green features as an essential component of SkyArena’s integrated development project, emphasising the importance of creating high-quality, sustainable, and community-oriented living spaces. With a vision to become the epitome of simplicity as the ‘Always Best City Developer’ with a clear purpose of ‘Make Living Better’, SkyWorld is committed to delivering an exceptional living experience in the city which is aligned with our brand pillars – Sky Living Experience, Innovation, and Value Creation,” Lee shares.
